"Start Your Own Business" Workshop

Hartford City Public Library, Hartford City, IN

April 20, 2010 ~ 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Are you considering starting your own business or have you just started a new small business? Then the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) has an important opportunity for you!

Start Your Own Business is a hands-on, information-packed workshop that provides sound and proven tools to get you on the road to success. Participants receive a comprehensive workbook and free one-on-one new business consultation upon completion of the workbook.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hartford City Public Library, 314 N. High Street, Hartford City, IN 47348.

The instructor is Jim Roudebush who has worked with rural entrepreneurs for the past five years and is a small business owner in Indiana for over 19 years. Roudebush helps participants identify their personal objectives, skills, and resources; understand entrepreneurial characteristics; describe business ideas and target groups; and evaluate business feasibility. Other topics include developing a business plan and ways to find funding resources. Roudebush states, "We are excited about bringing this proven workshop to the community of Hartford City and those who live in Blackford County."

The first 10 people to register receive $5 off the already low price. Registration is only $15 per person if received one week prior to the seminar, but act now to get the additional $5 off.
